Set to begin construction on a new stadium, the San Francisco 49ers are planning to bid on the right to host Super Bowl L in 2016, a team source told the Sacramento Bee on Saturday. California can be a litigious place. That being said, the San Francisco 49ers may have a legitimate legal case in the “Bounty-gate” scandal after new audio was released where former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams specifically called for serious injuries and bodily harm to key players on its roster. NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton recently said that the penalties for the former coach should be even harsher than what was handed out as punishment by the league.
